The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was enacted in 1990 to establish a comprehensive national mandate for the elimination of discrimination against individuals with disabilities. Part I of this article (J Med Pract Management 2001;17;1:32?34) addressed the impact of provisions in Titles I and III of the ADA as they relate to physicians and the practice of medicine. This article will focus on Title II of the ADA and its provisions relating to physician licensure and Title III pertaining to access to care by disabled patients in physicians? offices.
