I’ve been pondering the concept of a business plan as it relates to healthcare revenue-cycle work. Rarely do we, in the sturm und drang of our daily work lives, take the time to reflect on our near-term goals, the reasons why they are attainable, and the plan for reaching those goals. The closest we get is to put together a budget that identifies costs associated with ongoing operations (i.e., new personnel for collections work) with some proposed capital expenditures (i.e., a new practice management system). |
