Meet Our Expert Speaker: 

Doral Davis-Jacobsen, MBA, Manager

Doral is a manager with Dixon Hughes PLLC. She has over twenty years of experience in the healthcare field. Her areas of focus include managed care contracting, revenue cycle assessment, physician-hospital integration, financial analysis, operations management, project management and managerial consulting. She has a hands-on, practical style that has demonstrated significant benefits to her clients in terms of financial health and operational efficiency. She has experience on the provider side managing clinics and billing operations for large practices, on the payer side negotiating contracts and with a management company administering risk products in an IPA environment.

Deborah L. Holzmark, RN, MBA, CPHQ, MCS-P   Senior Manager

Deborah’s areas of expertise include clinical, operational and financial improvement of physician practices, clinical services, compliance assessments, and managerial consulting.  Deborah is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) by the National Association for Healthcare Quality.   She is also certified in Compliance as a Medical Compliance Specialist- Physician (MCS-P).  Deborah is also a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) from the National Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). Specific functions Ms. Holzmark has provided include extensive assistance in Medicare, Medicaid and private payer repayment appeals including preparation of appeal materials, testimony in hearings and response to payer queries.  She also provides education to staff and physicians on clinical operational improvement, compliance, coding and billing. Deborah brings a strong clinical background to the assessment process that provides a professional and experienced understanding of physician services and a unique ability to work with physicians on process improvement.  Deborah also works extensively on financial and operational assessments, fee schedule analysis, managed care contracting, new practice start-ups, compensation analysis, budgeting and benchmarking surveys for a variety of provider organizations.  Deborah has also works with hospitals on clinical and quality consulting projects, compensation arrangements and physician practice management.
